Thoughts & Prayers
In this odd "Summer of Death"...more names of local friends are added to the roster. Keep them and their families in your prayers. Kitty, we miss and love you!
In addition, don't forget those worst-hit by Hurrican Katrina down in the Gulf of Mexico region. My step-sister and her family live in New Orleans, just minutes from the French Quarter (though about 6 or 7 feet above water level). Luckily, they evacuated to Houston, TX, in time. The worst part for them, though, is mentally preparing to go back and face what wreckage may remain. Mental images will probably not be able to even begin to match the reality of the situation.
Do what you can to help. There are many refuges, charities, and other shelter-type organizations out there. Give what you can, even if it's just positive thoughts, prayers, good vibes, and karma. Thanks!
